ISA – Obama, the Democrats and the media betrays U.S. Once more
In 2006, long before the century was more than one decade, the American people decided they had had enough of Republican shenanigans. In particular, had had enough of George W. Bush and his administration extends in a war with us, violating the constitution and do everything possible to destroy that document well, the legacy of our founding fathers. Before the November elections, seems to be electricity in the air. People were fed up with then, and were ready to elect new faces, new ideas in Congress to force a change in direction the old regime, something that George Bush refused to do so continuously. It was not so positive. In fact, my writing suggests this, I was more or less safe than we were to get more than same old, same old.
My friend and coworker of Valentine's Day is much more optimistic than I am. He said he felt that once Democrats were in power to impeach the president. I said I did not believe that. As much as I would have liked to believe and what I feel that if any president ever deserves impeachment, George Bush is the president, I do not think anything was going to do with his reign of terror. Valentine was quick to defend their new hope. Of course, he would not give into pessimism as he had done already. She said that she (Nancy Pelosi) was playing politics and that once Democrats took over the pressure would build, she would change their tune, impeachment proceedings would start from the concerns of a new War with Iran would subside, flowers blooming, the kids have fun and play, the world would be set to rights and all would be harmony in the universe. But he had an opportunity to rectify at least some of that not too long ago. This bill, the new "Law on Amendments to the FISA" should easily have been defeated since the Democrats have control of the House and Senate. But it was not. The house passed a couple of weeks and last week the Senate was approved by a wide margin. Many Democrats gathered at the Republicans and once again those who betrayed them voted in office for the approval of this piece legislation that completely ignores the Fourth Amendment. They have essentially told us they think it is okay for federal agents to spy on us all without a warrant, and it seems as if they were trying to give his friend, President George W. Bush and his cronies a pass on a constitutional, political opinion, unconscionable, and unnecessary offense was committed long before any act of Congress was held. And so the Democrats who were waiting for the restoration of civil liberties are again ignored and excluded by their very own party.
Most surprising of all, or perhaps not so surprising, was the vote of one Barack Obama. Here is a man running for president who promises to change. I have wondered at what rate to offer. Perhaps we can look at that. He voted for the "Law FISA Amendments. "He voted to keep the powers to spy on Americans without warrants. Voted to continue a campaign to chill the bones of those who disagree with government policy. Their vote was perhaps most important, since many of his fellow Democrats voted according to their leadership. This not change. With this vote, Mr. Obama shows his true nature. He does not care about the individual. He does not care about those who simply want to live in freedom. It is a collectivist. He abused his power. It is better than any other politician pretending to care while trying to force the common man, also known as the little people more into bondage. Mr. Obama, who in the past voted against a similar bill, has changed his mind on this issue and so who knows what other issues could suddenly have a change of heart? Perhaps Obama believes that it is almost certainly one day be president and he wants to keep as an uncanny so that one day he can also punish political opponents.
Now the question is, "What will the media have to say about all this? "It seems that not much more. They seem to have remained fairly silent about this and have decided to focus on other issues that maybe are not as important. I doubt that we will hear Kieth Oberman mock Obama as so often and actually do it with Mr. Bush. When Mr. Bush violates the Constitution is bad, but not so if Mr. Obama does. After all, Barack Obama is a Democrat and Democrats like Kieth. They can do no wrong. They will set the world to rights. Once they get into power will restore harmony with the universe. If you believe that, well, I hold my breath if I were you. The betrayal is complete. We on our own. One can only hope that at some point it becomes a cry so loud that those in power can not ignore.
