what causes a manual transmission to allow first gear to be engaged but kicks it out of gear?
i have a 2005 chevy colorado and its a 5 speed… i recently had a stage 2 clutch installed and now im having issues with first gear. im not sure what it is. i start off in first gear and as i give it gas it kicks it out of first and makes it go to neutral. i have tried holding it in first and that does not work… any info would be highly appreciated.
Worn parts inside the transmission. Could be worn gear, or worn bearings on the mainshaft, or possibly a bent shifter fork.
