Channel Vhf Wireless

Maybe you have installed your own satellite or watched while someone else installed one. Could it be that you have seen some job ads, and thought: "I could do that. "The announcement may have even mentioned how much I can do the installation of satellite systems. Let me help you in making an informed decision.

Say you saw an ad for help from satellite installers. I could have read something like this;

Satellite Installer Wanted

Make $ 600 – $ 1,200 installation of satellite systems. GREAT opportunity! SBCA Certification and experience a plus, but by train. Working as an independent contractor. Paid per job. Driver's license, hand tools, drills and a ladder should. Truck or van required.
Call (000) 000-0000

The money is not sound so bad. Would you be willing to learn. It would be nice to be independent
contractor, be your own boss. It even has some of the tools, ladder, truck, so it is called. You make an appointment for an interview.

Your interviewer will probably be the owner, manager or administrator of the facility. Keep mind that this person's income depends on getting the installs. If you have a decent appearance, valid drivers license and are useful tools that have a good chance of being hired. Now let's look and money. Say you pay $ 50.00 for each complete installation and $ 10 for each additional receiver. A little math quick install it says 20 + 20 extra receiver and is already at $ 1200. You start to travel with someone who has experience and after a few days, put you on their own. Once your account is likely to only have maybe two a day to start, only until you pick up speed.

Consider, for starters, will Invest in some things. You will need a ladder, ladder rack, meters, pliers, strippers, cutters, cell phone, computer, internet access, Liability insurance and supplies. Perhaps your potential "boss" is going to loan some of this to begin with, but at some point, you have to make the investment.

Now let's look at the ongoing costs. The biggest expense will be its mileage. In my busiest time, was getting over a thousand miles a week in my truck. The mileage is more than the cost of gas even though that's a lie. You also have the maintenance, tires, shocks, oil changes and tune-ups. Every mile you put in your vehicle will lower the value of the vehicle. Take a look at to see What mileage do the value of your vehicle. What the government lets you deduct as a mileage rate is fairly good estimate of what your costs will be.

Other costs that will need to consider are the cell phone, internet access, liability insurance and supplies.
Finally we can not forget taxes. When you are self-employed, you must pay both the employee and the side of employers. If you have a lot of deductions you can take, but the government gives these deductions, it actually costs you to do business.

Now we have not even considered going to take risks. You will not have unemployment compensation or of workers to call if something happens. If you want health, disability, life or dental insurance you will have to pay out of pocket. If you want a holiday, you You should save your money so you can pay your bills when not working.

At this rate, it would be lucky to even earn minimum wage. In fact, it would be better to get $ 10/hr as an employee. When all the tools, trucks, insurance is offered. I'll get more into the details of expenditure on a future article. This is just the first of a series. I'll put them all on my website as I write.
